I know what it is to be treated like a friend when you have been so much more. It's never going to change and he is not available. You do know this is unhealthy and what you want from him might never happen. I wanted the same thing from mine, but after enough NC, I am making it through the illusion of what I thought we had. Try making yourself happy and not him. Does your therapist believe this relationship is good enough to hang on to because of your past?
